A KEIGHLEY pub says measures are in place to ensure it can reopen as soon as Government guidelines allow.
The Livery Rooms, in common with other pubs, isn’t currently open to customers due to the coronavirus restrictions.
But JD Wetherspoon, which runs the North Street premises, says strict social distancing and safety plans have been finalised.
Two full-time staff will be taken on to focus on the regular cleaning of surfaces and touch points.
There will be screens at the till point and to create seating areas where it isn’t possible to separate tables to the social distancing requirement.
Staff will be offered gloves, masks and protective eyewear.
Hand sanitiser dispensers will be installed around the pub, including at the entrance, for customers and employees to use.
Every employee will also be required to complete a daily health assessment questionnaire, which will include a temperature check.
Sophie Turner, manager at The Livery Rooms, said: “At present the Government has not confirmed any reopening date for pubs. However, it is important that we are prepared for any announcement.”
