KEIGHLEY Cougars have tweeted their condolences after one of their former directors, Tony Beevers, passed away on Saturday following a stroke, having been in poor health for some time.
Beevers was well known throughout rugby league and as well as spending time at Keighley, he was particularly prominent at Halifax, representing them at the Rugby Football League and being a director at the club during their successful period in the 1980s.
He was also a former director at Leigh and Featherstone Rovers.
