Avon and Somerest Police helicopter
A POLICE helicopter seen circling over Skipton yesterday and this morning was being used to locate a missing woman.
The helicopter was seen near West Marton as well as over Greatwood and Horse Close area of Skipton yesterday afternoon and again today.
A Twitter response from North Yorkshire Police has read: "Excellent work by @NPASNorthEast in locating a missing Skipton woman in her car near Litton Hall at around 9.15am today.
"Extensive searches had been carried out in the Craven area overnight. The woman, aged in her 50s, is safe and receiving support."
