SILSDEN-based Ecology Building Society has appointed Sarah Kemp to its executive team.
She has taken-up the newly-created role of head of risk and compliance.
Sarah, a qualified audit and financial crime specialist, has previously held senior roles at both the Lloyds Banking Group and Standard Chartered Bank.
She will lead the continued development of Ecology’s risk management and compliance strategy.
“Since joining Ecology I have been struck by the passion and dedication of the whole team,” said Sarah. “I look forward to playing a key role in the future success of the society.”
Chief executive, Paul Ellis, welcomed the appointment.
“Sarah’s extensive experience in financial services risk management and strong leadership track record will be a huge asset as we emerge from the disruption wrought by Covid-19,” he said.
