KIND-hearted Skipton siblings Sulaiman and Sabah Raza used their pocket money to buy food for the underprivileged.
The duo accompanied their parents to the local supermarket, bought essential food items and delivered them to the Skipton Foodbank on Newmarket Street where they were received by volunteer Caroline Porter.
Eight-year-old Sulaiman, a Year 2 pupil at St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School, said: “We have been learning a lot about how people with little money cope during difficult times, especially with the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. We just wanted to help people and children who are less fortunate than ourselves so Sabah and I decided to give up our pocket money for a week and we bought food for the poor instead.”
Once Sulaiman returns to school in September, he hopes to organise a fundraising event in aid of the local foodbank.
