KEIGHLEY Cougars' Josh Lynam will be able to complete the final few months of his testimonial, once play is able to resume, after being granted an extension by the Rugby Football League.

Last April, the club announced that the second rower had been granted a 12-month testimonial by the RFL in celebration of his time with the Cougars.

Lynam joined the club as a young boy, and made his way through the ranks before making his first team debut in 2013 at Batley Bulldogs.

Part of the deal was Lynam's testimonial match, which resulted in a 68-10 pre season hammering of Coventry Bears at Cougar Park back in January.

A charity match, featuring some of the club's legends, was also played last September, with half the money raised on the day being donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Unfortunately, Keighley were only able to play a handful of matches in 2020 before the sport went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
