TWO Airedale Hospital nurses aim to clock-up the miles to raise money for charity.

Pat Dyminski and Audrey Hines, both clinical nurse specialists on the oncology unit, have signed-up to a challenge in support of Hope for Tomorrow.

Participants pledge to walk, jog or run 1,000 miles over the course of a year in aid of the charity – which provides mobile cancer care units to hospitals across the country.

Airedale has two of the units, which enable up to 40 patients a day to have treatment without entering the hospital.

Pat said: “This challenge will help keep people active as well as provide mental health benefits.

“The mobile cancer care units have enabled Airedale Hospital to deliver treatment to patients safely during these difficult times, with minimal disruption to the service.”
