I DO so agree with David Allison’s plea “Ring the Bell” (Craven Herald letters, July 9).
I so often shout, “Where is your bell?” after cyclists have silently brushed past me while I am walking or cycling on narrow lanes.
We need to make cycling as safe as possible for everyone on the road, especially for walkers on bending narrow lanes between stone walls which are now well used by fast cyclists.
For more than 30 years I have had a mirror on my bike so that I can see the car or bike approaching from behind. It would be good if these were more available to buy.
I will join the “Bring Back the Bicycle Bell Party”.
