THE award winning Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival held in Skipton has been postponed until next year - but disappointed festival goers will be able to join in a lot of the fun virtually, in the comfort of their own homes.

The online event will take place this weekend - the same dates it should have gone ahead - and will include much of the original line-up including cookery demonstrations, masterclasses, music, skills workshops, cocktail making, tastings, shopping and eating and drinking.

People will also be able to sing and dance to the tribute music of Little Mix, Pink, Ed Sheeran, Take That and Kylie as well as join in an 70s disco party with the Brutus Gold Love Train on Saturday night.

Rachael Higgins, marketing director, at Events By B3, said “We are so saddened to have to postpone, but keeping spirits high we are excited to be hosting our first virtual festival.

“Our team has been working hard with all our exhibitors, chefs and musicians to make sure it’s a fun packed weekend for all our fantastic visitors old and new.”
