PRIMARY school leavers in Upper Wharfedale were bid a fond farewell with a dance filmed and performed by children across four primary schools.
Children in the Upper Wharfedale Federation, made up of Burnsall, Cracoe and Rylstone, Grassington and Kettlewell primary schools, were taught a dance remotely by headteacher, Ella Besharati, and performed for an overhead drone, showcasing the schools and their spectacular surroundings.
In addition, younger children filmed messages for their friends. “Most of our year six pupils will be going to our local secondary school, Upper Wharfedale. Some are going to Skipton Girls’ High and Ermysteds - in fact 100 per cent of boys at Cracoe passed the entry exams for Ermysted’s,” said Mrs Besharati.
“It was sad to see our year six leave but we know that they have a fantastic adventure ahead of them. We have been so proud of their achievements over the years and of well they have returned to school in such unusual circumstances.”
