A ROAD near Wareham has opened following an earlier accident involving a car and a motorcycle in Purbeck.
The collision, which took place at Holton Heath, near Wareham, also involved a lamppost.
Initially, a Dorset Police spokesman confirmed: "We received a report at 12.25pm of a collision at Organford Bridge at Holton Heath.
"It involved a car and a motorcycle. A lamp post was also reportedly damaged in the incident.
"Officers have attended along with the ambulance service, which is treating the motorcyclist."
Morebus reported that its number 40 services are being diverted due to the crash.
Dorset Police confirmed the vehicles have been recovered and the road fully reopened at 3.20pm. The extent of the motorcyclist's injuries remain unconfirmed.

Services will run direct between Bakers Arms and Holton Heath.
