POLICE came across a stack of packaged meat after pursuing a car from Skipton to Keighley yesterday, August 3.
TC Andrew Ingram, of North Yorkshire Police tweeted at 4.48pm to say the pursuit had taken place and ended with the vehicle being found abandoned off road. No location was given.
He said it looked as though the occupants had 'just done a theft' and took a photograph of 14 packs of choice steaks, in Co-op packaging, along with a pair of croppers which were found in the vehicle.
TC Ingram added: "Nice of driver to leave us some clues!"
Inquiries are continuing.
