A SILSDEN writing group is giving people the chance to express their creative side.
The Cobbydale Quills was launched last November, by David Driver – a writer, poet and broadcaster from the town.
Saturday workshops have offered discussions and exercises.
Although the coronavirus pandemic has put some activities on hold, two anthologies have been produced – Winter Tales, and Mr Yinks Stories and other Fantastic Tales – both of which are available through Amazon.
And Mr Driver hopes to invite writers to contribute to a third anthology once the situation allows.
He is delighted at the success of the initiative.
“The aim is to give people a voice and a platform to express their imagination, creativity and inspiration,” said Mr Driver, who is also currently working with the World Storytelling Cafe. “Although the group is mainly aimed at the novice, it welcomes writers of all abilities.”
