WHAT wasn't to like about Skipton market today when shoppers were treated to some exceptional music at both ends of the high street?
Standing near the town hall, five members of Skipton Camerata played a succession of foot-tapping pieces on silver and brass while near the pedestrian crossing opposite the entrance to Otley Road, a group of four men, calling themselves The Bombadiers, played guitars and violin and sang a number of popular songs.
Visitors clearly enjoyed the musical interludes with rounds of applause ringing out.
The forecast for a warm day brought out a lot of people taking advantage of the high street which is pedestrianised on the town's market days of Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
