A CROSS Hills company is on the crest of a wave.

Engineering consultancy WAVE Refrigeration is a finalist in three categories of the prestigious Investors in People Awards.

It has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year Silver Status (0-49 employees) and for the Social Responsibility Award for Sustainable Development Goal Achievements. And company founder James Bailey is in the running for the Leader of the Year (up to 250 employees) accolade.

He said: “To be shortlisted in three categories is extremely rewarding and demonstrates that WAVE truly does invest in its people. It is a testament to the efforts of the team and the fantastic organisational culture that has been cultivated in the less than five years that WAVE has been trading.”

Mr Bailey added that he was “incredibly humbled” to be shortlisted for Leader of the Year.

Ellie Clare, operations manager, said: “James has created a fantastic company to work for. We are extremely grateful for all his dedication and passion.”

WAVE – whose clients include Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons – currently has a 15-strong workforce and is continuing to grow.
