A MORRISONS customer waiting for a supermarket delivery yesterday would get their shopping late, wet or both, following the torrential downpours coupled with hail in the afternoon.
Reader David Postill spotted this stranded van at around 3.15pm yesterday at the railway bridge at Keasden, north of Skipton.
Clearly the driver had more faith in his vehicle than was actually warranted as the depth of water can be deceiving and he only managed to get through half the 'puddle' before the elements proved too much and he was forced to clamber on the roof.
With luck he was rescued quickly and the shopping salvaged.
