HALF of the development of eight new homes just off the A65 at Coniston Cold have been snapped up, says developer Skipton Properties. The Sycamores, named after the large tree on the site, next to Bell Busk lane, is a hamlet of eight two to five bedroom homes. Skipton Properties says the tree itself will be surrounded by an elevated green area for all residents of the new homes, while many of the properties will also be named after trees.

A spokesperson said: “Of the six homes we’ve released four have already been reserved. We are hoping to have them complete in December. We also have strong interest in the remaining two.”

Two further conversions of existing agricultural buildings at the former farm site will be released over the coming weeks, says the developer.

“The homes are built from our trademark natural stone with some traditional dry stone wall boundaries.”
