IT seems the end is in sight to Steeton's Marley saga, with the club finally confirming their first game there.
The initial hope was to have the pitch ready for the start of the season, before that was pushed back to October 17, when the Chevrons were due to host Cleator Moor Celtic.
But that game had to be switched to Cumbria due to further delays in getting the ground ready, while subsequent scheduled games there this month against AFC Darwen and St Helens Town had to be postponed.
However, Steeton's senior teams trained at Marley for the first time on Tuesday night.
When announcing that news on their Twitter feed, the Chevrons confirmed that the ground would be ready to host their North West Counties League First Division North game with Garstang on November 14.
By that point, Steeton will already have played six away league games.
Their only competitive "home" game so far was against Jarrow in the FA Vase, and even that had to be held at Barnoldswick Town's Silentnight Stadium.
