I usually get one or two quite bad colds over the winter period.

A spin-off benefit of mask-wearing in shops and on public transport, and of no hand-shaking with each other, is that I will hopefully remain germ-free this time.

Shaking hands is a perfect method of virus or germ transmission - can we not abolish it permanently? Bowing to each other Japanese-style would be so much more hygienic.
