ELLIE Clare – operations manager at Cross Hills-based Wave Refrigeration – has been shortlisted for a coveted accolade.
She is among the finalists in the Student of the Year category at the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Cooling Awards, being staged online on December 9.
Ellie, a former pupil of Holy Family School in Keighley, joined Wave as a trainee in April, 2018.
Since then she has gained various qualifications and last year was named Trainee of the Year at the Keighley & Airedale Business Awards. She is spearheading Wave’s bid to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation next year.
Tribute is paid by the company’s founder, James Bailey.
He said: “In December last year we became the first refrigeration engineering consultancy to achieve Investors in People accreditation. We are under no illusion that Ellie’s contribution and management played a considerable role in Wave achieving this significant business milestone.”
And managing director, Mark Williams, says: “Ellie is a shining star.
“She has an exciting future ahead of her – we are beyond proud of her achievements.”
