A JOYOUS Christmas card will shortly be making its way out from the mayor of Skipton, thanks to primary school pupil Isabelle Brennand.
Isabelle, a year four pupil at the town’s Greatwood Community Primary School, came up with the winning design in a competition for Skipton schoolchildren to design a Christmas card for the mayor, Cllr Karen McIntyre to send out to businesses and dignitaries.
Cllr McIntyre, who asked children to design a card around the theme ‘a cheerful Christmas’ said: “Isabelle’s design was a perfect fit for this year – the rainbows summarised the year we have had, the bright colours signified a hopefully brighter time going forward.
“The design is joyful, Christmassy and will bring a smile to all those who receive it.”
