SKIPTON-based fresh produce and greengrocer company Class One has donated 30 build-your-own Christmas tree kits to Pendleside Hospice.
Christina Cope, head of corporate fundraising at Pendleside, said: “On behalf of Pendleside I would like to say a big thank you Class One. It’s so very kind of the team to think of our patients and to present us with chocolate trees. We will use them in our hampers which will be delivered to some Hospice at Home patients who have children and who will benefit from some extra food and gifts.
“2020 has been a difficult year for everyone and here at Pendleside we couldn’t hold our regular fundraising activities. We did, however, rise to the challenge by increasing our bed capacity from 10 to 18. We are currently looking after 100 patients with our Hospice at Home nursing staff .”
Class One is a family business with three generations of experience in fresh produce supplied to pubs, schools, hotels and caterers.
