SKIPTON Auction Mart has set up a fundraising page so people can still make donations to the charities it would have supported had the auction been allowed to go ahead.

The mart was disappointed it was unable to stage its annual high profile Sunday Christmas fatstock show and sale this year which resulted in the cancellation of the charity auction normally staged at the end.

Over the years the sale has raised many thousands of pounds for three main beneficiaries - Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope, Brooklands Community Special School in Skipton, and national farming charity, the Addington Fund.

However, the mart’s Kelly Armitage has said that because many people have asked if they can still donate, as charities need support more than ever, a ‘Go Fund Me Page’ has been established for anyone wishing to make a contribution. T

he page will run until Friday, January 23, and all monies will be split between the usual three charities.

It can be accessed via a link on the home page at www.ccmauctions.com or the mart’s Facebook.
