More snow on the way for the district
A YELLOW warning for snow and ice has been issued by the Met Office for the district.
Sleet showers throughout much of this afternoon are to turn to snow and continue overnight.
Sleet will be replaced with snow on higher ground.
Tomorrow, Friday, heavy snow showers are due throughout the morning turning lighter later.
Temperatures are then forecast to drop to minus 4 degrees by Saturday morning, making untreated roads treacherous
