SKIPTON'S Jerry Croft road will be closed for up to five days from today for the installation of fibre ducting on behalf of the NYnet Scheme.

NYnet was established in 2007 by North Yorkshire County Council with several aims, including increasing the availability of affordable broadband across the region for the public sector and stimulating economic growth for business through the provision of better broadband connectivity.

The NYnet network is based on a high bandwidth fibre core extending across North Yorkshire with 37 major Points of Presence (PoPs),of which Skipton is one.
