A BUSINESS support programme to help local businesses make significant cost savings, whilst also saving the planet has been launched by the Yorks and North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partrnership (LEP).
The Grow Greener programme has been specifically developed for SMEs in York and North Yorkshire with the aim of helping them to reduce their costs and energy consumption, whilst also helping them to lower their carbon footprint. This will enable those businesses to become more resilient and better-equipped for the future- a shared aspiration for many organisations as they seek to recover from the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Sue Jefferson, deputy chair of the LEP’s business board said: “Programmes such as Grow Greener and ReBiz will provide practical support for businesses to benefit from. They will also help realise our region’s ambition to be carbon neutral by 2034 and carbon negative by 2040.”
