THE district is bracing itself for another white weekend after the Met Office issued a yellow warning of snow and ice for North Yorkshire.
Forecasters say snow is likely to affect the county from 12 noon tomorrow (Saturday) until midnight on Sunday after a rainy start, followed by sleet.
Skipton could see heavy snow for most of the day on Sunday though further north may escape with sleet and rain.
Temperatures are expected to drop to minus 2 overnight on Sunday and Monday making road travel tricky in areas which have not been treated.
Further snow showers are expected on Monday before temperatures drop to around minus three overnight on Tuesday.
Overnight temperatures are expected to remain below freezing for the rest of the week with a risk of more snow showers next weekend.
