THE Skipton Life Calendar 2021, put together by Carleton woman Kathryn Delaney, is selling fast, despite many outlets being closed through lockdown.
Kathryn put the calendar together using photographs she took of some of the people behind the town’s businesses.
“The inspiration for the calendar came from working on the 2019 Hinterlands Rural Film Festival, in Skipton. It gave me inspiration to promote our lovely market town and is all about the people behind the businesses.
“Without these same people there would be no Skipton. They are the beating heart of the town who pull the town together.”
The calendar is currently available from Drake and Macefield butchers, Steep & Filter organic grocery and coffee shop and The Three Sheep coffee shop which is open for takeaways.
Kathryn said: “It has been going really well which I am pleased about.
“It was a pleasure to do and I hope it helps get the town back on track. The market traders have been stopping me and asking me when I am going to do a calendar of them. I told them I would do one for next year and will start taking pictures in spring.
Proceeds from the sales are being donated to The Royal Lifeboats of England: saving lives at sea, in memory of her father who was in the Royal Navy.
It is being printed by Ellesmere Press and costs £10.
