LUCK was on the side of this field mouse when it decided it would enjoy a light snack from a bird feeder in the garden of Gill Daker, who lives on Greenacres Estate, Skipton.
The hungry visitor decided to get a bit closer to food hanging out for the feathered garden visitors and climbed inside the plastic tube, but was unable to escape.
"Luckily it was spotted and I was able to release it, although it wasn’t in too much of a hurry to go," said Gill.
"The bird feeder hangs on an old bird table at the bottom of our garden. The mice have been seen feeding a few times as they climb up the post and then jump over to the feeder. The next thing we have seen is the mouse taking a flying leap down to the ground.
"They are amusing to watch. The birds don’t seem to be bothered about them."
Gill managed to get a quick photograph of the little visitor before she released it back outside.
