SKIPTON'S Pie & Mash cafe, in Coach Street, has closed permanently.

The establishment was opened in 2012 by Londoner Nick Osborn who wanted to bring a taste of the south to the district, served in the traditional London way with a parsley liquor.

Fellow Londoner, Kelvin Aulton, was in charge of the cooking.

Recently, the premises, laid out over two floors and including a patio eating area, closed for good and was being offered for an annual rent of £17,500.

According to Dacre, Son & Hartley's commercial website, a let has been agreed.

No change of use application has yet been lodged with the district council.
