RAZORLIGHT and Feeder are amongst the bands due to take part in the Gateways Festival in Skipton this summer.

The music and outdoor cinema event in Aireville Park was to be held for the first time last year, but was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Organisers say they are now looking forward to its delayed launch in the weekend in August.

Other acts include Lightning Seeds, Scouting for Girls, Dodgy and Toploader, and included in the three day event will be a fun fair, stalls, food and a movie night.

Event Director, Eddie Smith, said the name referred to Skipton being the ‘gateway to the Dales’.

“We saw there was a gap in the market for this type of event and agreed that Skipton was the perfect location. Aireville Park is perfectly located against a backdrop of stunning scenery and is in an ideal setting for families to relax and enjoy themselves.”

It is hoped the event will become an annual fixture. To find out more and to buy tickets, visit the website: www.gatewaysfestival.co.uk, or find it on social media.
