SKIPTON Rotary Club is hoping to be able to stage its fundraising dragon boat race at the Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold, later this year.
The rotary club hopes the Government’s roadmap for recovery out of the coronavirus pandemic will stay on track and allow it once again to stage the popular event, held on the Coniston estate lake on Sunday, September 12.
Last year’s event was cancelled, but in 2019, 21 companies from across the area took part, entering eight teams of rowers, who together raised an impressive £15,000 for charities.
The club is now inviting companies to sign up for this year’s event, enjoy some teambuilding, and a great day out for all the family and help raise funds for charities hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
