THIS is the newest bit of liveried kit to join North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing group and those who patrol on two motorised wheels are likely to be falling out over it.

This police-marked Ducati has been loaned for the summer by BikeSafe, who in turn have been loaned it by Ducati. And on Easter Saturday it was being shown off in the Dales.

A police spokesman said: "BikeSafe workshops in North Yorkshire are always popular and they're a great way to become an even more skilful rider.

"We managed to increase the number of courses by 25 per cent this year and we're about to add even more.

"But demand is very high. There are some North Yorkshire workshops left towards the back end of the summer. To book visit https://bikesafe.co.uk/northyorkshire/

"If you can't book the session you want, just pop your details on our waiting list and we promise to get back to you as and when spaces become available: https://bikesafe.co.uk/northyorkshire/waiting-list

"It's a good time to sign up for one - biker season is starting, there's more traffic on the roads now, and it's a great opportunity to sharpen up skills after lockdown.

"Our roads policing teams will have a high-profile presence in villages, main roads and rural routes to keep everyone safe."
