THIS stunning picture of last night's pink 'super moon' was taken as it rose over a Settle landmark by Mark Charnley.
Martin Lunn, of Earby Astronomical Society, says the full moon in April is also called the 'egg moon'.
"This has nothing at all to do with Easter eggs but is due to the increasing amount of daylight which results in hens, ducks and geese laying more eggs," he says.
The next full moon on May 26 will also be a super moon, when the moon is a little closer to the earth than normal, and in May is known as the flower moon.
