COMMUNITY groups are being invited to apply for a helping hand grant from the Co-op.
The Co-op’s Local Community Fund, which has raised more than £354,000 for local causes in the North West since 2016, is now inviting applications for its next round of funding.
The supermarket chain is inviting applications from groups needing financial help towards projects that support access to get food, help improve mental wellbeing or provide opportunities for young people.
Rebecca Birkbeck, director of community and shared value at the Co-op said: “Our Co-op vision is ‘co-operating for a fairer world’ and it’s heartening to see this come to life in these grass roots projects.
“Our Local Community Fund and support from our members has been a lifeline throughout the pandemic, and we want even more local groups to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Applications are open until the end of May. To find out more, visit: coop.co.uk/causes.
