A POSTPONED event with Yorkshire based Gentleman Jack author Clara Barley is due to take place online on Wednesday, May 19.
Her novel,The Moss House, details the life of Anne Lister, commonly known as Gentleman Jack. It explores Anne’s relationship with fellow landowner Ann Walker, and examines how she battled both society and her family to try to live her life as she wanted in the early 19th century.
It will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, May 19, and will feature the author discussing the story, as well as reading excerpts from her book.The event was originally due to take place last year at Skipton library, but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
