THE snow has been falling at Newby Head, between Hawes and Ingleton, in the Dales this afternoon, as pictured by Thomas Beresford.
Newby Head Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 439m (1,439ft) above the sea level and is described as a road with 'challenging winter conditions'- even in May, so it seems.
