THRESHFIELD woman Honor Burridge took along five friends on April 24 to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks raising £1,734 for Candlelighters.
“This was in memory of my Grandpa Stuart Hawes, who sadly died after a long battle with liver cancer last August,” she said.
“His life was prolonged by three years thanks to a radical new treatment and the dedicated care he received at the Bexley Wing, Leeds.
“During the time he spent there he was incredibly touched by the courage of young children receiving cancer treatment alongside him. In recognition of their courage he became an avid supporter of Candlelighters.”
Honor is just about to complete her events management foundation degree and about to start up her own beauty make up business. ‘Beauty with HonorB’
