THREE flooding incidents in Settle required assistance from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service yesterday evening.
At 6.29pm a crew from Settle was called to Proctor Row, in Kirkgate, to attend flooding to a cellar. The flooding was around one metre deep. Crews pumped the water into a drain at the bottom of the garden. Light portable pump, suction and small tools used.
At 6.50pm, a crew from Skipton was called to Austwick Close, Settle, to attend flooding inside a property. On their arrival the flooding had receded so firefighters helped occupants with putting sandbags out.
At 8.27pm a crew from Settle attended flooding in a workshop due to heavy rain. Crews used light portable pump, hard suction, hoses, hose ramps, and lamps.
