CARE home residents enjoyed a day at the seaside – without leaving landlocked Eastburn!
A beach day – complete with sand, paddling pools, inflatable sea creatures and Punch & Judy – was held at Croft House.
There was also a juice bar and mocktails drunk from pineapples, magic and balloon modelling.
Residents enjoyed fish and chips off newspaper and had ice creams and rock.
And beach clothes and Hawaiian skirts were the order of the day.
Croft house team leader, Shana Mellor, said: “Some of our residents have been wanting to go to the seaside for so long but due to the pandemic this just hasn’t been possible – so we brought the seaside to Croft House!
“It was a wonderful day that lifted the spirits of both residents and the staff.
“One lady said it was the best day she’d had in a long time.”
