PERMISSION has been granted to turn a former workshop in Park Lane, Carleton, into two houses with detached garages, off-street parking and the re-alignment of the access.
A decision by Craven District Council’s planning committee in February was deferred over concerns about the access relating to the application from RN Wooler & Co Ltd.
At the latest meeting, a deciding vote for approval was given by planning committee chair Cllr Linda Brockbank.
Conditions attached to planning permission note that there must be no commencement of the scheme until a construction management plan has been submitted and approved by district council planners.
The development must not be brought into use until the access, parking, manoeuvring and turning areas, has been set out and constructed in accordance to agreed specifications.
Visibility splays of 25 metres along both channel lines of the major road must be created and maintained clear of any obstruction.
