‘IN awe of nature’ an exhibition of original paintings by three Craven Arts artists, continues at Skipton’s Mill Bridge Gallery, at the top of the High Street, until Saturday, July 24.

The artists are Marisa Marquez, Christine Yardley and Sarah Roche, and all are inspired by nature and the outdoors.

Marisa Marquez’s multilayered mixed media paintings are inspired by her great love of Yorkshire, the beauty of the light and nature in local spaces, and are also influenced by the colours of the ocean and the Mediterranean where she lived and worked for many years.

Christine Yardley combines painting with the photographic process of Cyanotype - a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print that was used by engineers well into the 20th century.

She is inspired and motivated by nature, and as a holistic therapist and Tai Chi, Qigong and meditation practitioner spends many hours in the woods, the perfect space in which to practice and enhance these health-giving and healing arts, and capture images for her artwork.

Sarah Roche works in felt, using, Merino wool tops, Blue-faced Leicester curls and wool nepps, to imitate and ultimately pay homage to the beauty and the mood of our ever-changing local Yorkshire landscape.

The exhibition can be seen Thursdays to Saturdays at 3 Mill Bridge from 11am until 4pm until July 24.
