A GROUP of primary school children from Cononley, along with their mums, are part-way through a charity challenge to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

The group made up of between 20 and 25 children and between 10 and 15 mums, are walking the Three Peaks in two separate groups over three separate days which began in June and ends on July 18.

They aim to raise £3,000 to support Cononley Primary School as well as Manorlands Hospice and the charity, Be More Ruby.

Money raised for Cononley school will go towards new books for its library. Donations to Be More Ruby go directly towards research into better treatments for rhabdomyosarcoma, while money raised for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice will be used to provide expert care for patients and residents.

Each will receive a medal when they complete the walks.
