PUPILS from Embsay Primary School have raised over £2,500 by taking part in The Embsay and Eastby Three Peaks Challenge.
The PTA has been unable to run the popular school Summer Fair for the second consecutive year due to Covid restrictions. As an alternative way of raising funds the children were asked to get friends and family to sponsor them to climb one or more of our local Three Peaks during the month of June: Crookrise, Embsay Crag and Halton Heights. Over 60 pupils (age 4-11) participated with some climbing all three peaks in a day. For many this was an opportunity to discover, for the first time, a few of the beautiful places that we have on our doorstep. The PTA has been delighted with the success of the event.
