THIS vintage picture of North Ribblesdale RUFC 1st XV team is a bit later than the Ermysted’s pic and is of the 1968/69 season.

Middle row: J Brassington, J Groves, D Ridgway, S Marklew, R Robinson, R Swainson, WB Swainson.

Front row: G Wright, T Sharp, T Graveson, F Boothman, P Monks, D Mills.

Several well known names in the line-up are still living in the district. It is also interesting to see three members of the Swainson family involved in the sport.

Sadly we don’t have any further information about this particular season or if the lads took any silverware home.
