THIS row of houses was just off Newmarket Street and shows the corner of Bunker Hill and the terraced houses behind.
They were the opposite side of the road to where the magistrates’ court building is currently situated.
They were demolished around 1966.
It is thought the corner property belonged to a Mr Cherries who later moved to Otley Road.
He had a barber’s shop and also sold tropical fish.
Today there is a sitting area and car park with nothing left of the row of houses.
We wonder why the chimney on this building is to tall?
