AFTER a period of inactivity, things seem to be moving again on the Wyvern Development (‘Green light expected in industrial units plan’ Craven Herald September 2).
The park element of the Development, however, seems to complete, with the area transformed by a children’s playground, pleasant grassed areas, extensive tree-planting and a wetlands area - even the seating, lighting and litter bins are in place. All that’s missing is people enjoying these excellent facilities.
Even without Wyvern's housing element there are many existing Skipton residents living within walking distance of the park. I am sure they would welcome the chance to make use of it to exercise, socialise and play. So, why not open it now?

In response, a spokesperson for developers Henry Boot Developments, said: "The scheme is continuing to progress well - it is a live site so the play area cannot yet be opened up until construction is completed in the coming months."
