SKIPTON Town Ladies began their league campaign with an opening day defeat after being beaten by Dewsbury Rangers Ladies 5-3 away from home on Sunday.
Even though they were beaten, Town showed a lot of spirit and also a lot of promise for the season ahead.
Unfortunately for the away side, goals from Corina Riley, Bethany Bancroft and Emily Throup weren't enough to take away the opening day three points.
On Sunday, Skipton return to action as they look to bounce back from their Dewsbury disappointment.
They are at home on this occasion, this time facing off with Ackworth Girls FC Ladies.
