TWENTY men of different ages all wearing hats of varying styles and dressed to the nines feature in this old photograph.
Sadly there is no date, but the most unusual thing is that they are pictured during a visit to Gordale Scar, near Malham.
Just what the occasion was, we do not know, nor who the men are or whether they are local to the district.
Their dress is very formal with button holes and handkerchiefs, polished boots, waistcoats, watches and chains and almost all are sporting the traditional moustaches.
Perhaps it was a wedding party, though why only the men?
