The NSPCC is delighted to have been named charity of the year by the West & North Yorkshire Chamber Of Commerce.
The NSPCC relies on voluntary donations for 90% of its funding, and the support of the Chamber will be a huge contribution towards ensuring the charity can continue to support children and young people across Yorkshire.
Mike Briffett, president of the Chamber, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the NSPCC as our chosen charity for the next two years, and we’re certain our members will be enthusiastic to help however they can.
“As a Chamber, we want to ensure businesses across West and North Yorkshire are able to make a positive impact on society.”
Jackie Dawson, NSPCC community fundraising manager for Yorkshire, said: “The support of the Chamber is fantastic news and we’re hugely grateful to the organisation and all its members.”
